Night safari for small cats – outside the park. (4/5 hours)

When darkness settles over the landscapes surrounding Wilpattu, a quieter and more mysterious world begins to emerge.

Our Small Cats Night Safari is a specialised evening wildlife experience designed for travellers who want to search for some of Sri Lanka’s most elusive nocturnal mammals, including fishing cats, jungle cats and other small wild cats.

Unlike our daytime national-park safaris, this experience takes place outside Wilpattu National Park, exploring selected village roads, wetland edges, scrub habitats, forest boundaries and other natural areas where nocturnal wildlife may become active after sunset.

Led by an experienced local wildlife team, the safari follows a patient, responsible approach with minimal disturbance to animals.

It is ideal for wildlife enthusiasts, photographers, small-cat lovers and travellers looking for something completely different from a traditional daytime safari.
